It thus reinforces the importance of effective and tangible actions worldwide to counter deliberate biological threats”.
Countering CBRN risks is not an easy task. Stakeholders involved in this mission require a thorough appreciation of the challenges and great insights into the key considerations of a complex cross-field full of technical scientific terminology, practical procedures and regulations.
For over ten years, the CoE network has supported partner countries in their CBRN risk mitigation efforts by advancing guidance on policies, recommendations and best practices aimed at enforcing and building up capabilities in the domain. The continuous support provided by the Initiative, in close cooperation with international organisations and stakeholders, addresses considerations across key elements associated with the use of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear agents, as well as the impact of their related risks on the society, the environment and the economy.
All CBRN resources delivered are unique tools for strengthening the knowledge and skills, systems, and frameworks from which the European Union and its partners strive to make the world a safer place.
