Central Asia: the construction of CBRN Forensics Center in Tajikistan has started

On 7th March 2020, the first stone for the construction of the first CBRN Forensics Center in Tajikistan was laid

On 7th March 2020, President of Tajikistan Academy of Sciences, academician Farhod Rahimi and Director of Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency AS RT, Ilhom Mirsaidzoda in order to implement provisions of paragraph 8 а), 9 d) and e) of National Action Plan of the Republic of Tajikistan on UNSCR 1540 implementation which is approved by Governmental Decree no. 54 from 9th February 2016, laid the first stone for the construction of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Forensics Center.

Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Forensics Center will be 4-stoor modern building which will accommodate 12 laboratories. 10 million somoni (1 million US dollars) will be spent on the construction of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Forensics Center. The commissioning of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Forensics Center is planned for the 30th anniversary of Tajikistan independence, which country will celebrate in September 2021.
