Project 084 (IfS): CBRN Training and Tutoring

Context

Flexible training modules for CoE Partner Countries personnel should be mainstreamed as key component of the future of the EU CBRN CoE Initiative. Therefore, several training modules will be organised in connection with the needs and priorities to train the trainers for holistic CBRN risk mitigation.

Trainings will focus on highly specialized technical areas, as among others civil protection in case of CBRN events, incident first response, emergency management, civil-military cooperation, border management, CBRN detection and forensics. Activities shall make use of top-level facilities and expertise already existing in EU Member States, Neighbouring Partner Countries, CBRN CoE Partner Countries or provided upon request by international partners (NATO Centres of Excellences, ISTC and STCU).

Objectives

Global objective: Support of training and mentoring activity according CBRN risk mitigation for EU CBRN risk mitigation Centres of Excellence Partner countries.

Specific objective(s): All type of logistic support in line of support of training and mentoring activity for CBRNE risk mitigation, as:

  • Organising events (training, conferences, expert meeting, consultations).
  • Preparation of printed and non-printed support materials.
  • Transport and accommodation support for events with participants.

This project is part of a pre-existing EU activity in the regions and has not resulted from the submission of a CoE project proposal. Due to the different origin of the project, not all countries involved are CoE partner countries.
