The CBRN CoE Regional Secretariat for the South East Asia region is located in the Philippines and is hosted by the Malacañang Palace in Manila, the official residence and principal workplace of the President of the Philippines.
The Secretariat plays a major role in helping achieve the objectives of the CBRN CoE through ensuring a good level of cooperation and coordination among the ten Partner Countries. The Regional Secretariat also provides support with the engagement of regional and international technical partners, potential donors and other stakeholders in the area of CBRN risk mitigation. It contributes to build local ownership and to a greater sustainability of the CBRN CoE network.
- Support the establishment and institutionalisation of inter-agency CBRN National Teams
- Support Partner Countries in the development of CBRN National Action Plans
- Support Partner Countries in the development of regional and sub-regional project proposals
- Collect information and assist in the monitoring of ongoing CBRN CoE projects
- Organise regional Round-Table Meetings
- Enhance ownership by Partner Countries in the region
- Reach out to and coordinate with regional and international partners

the following 3 projects are ongoing:
- P90 EU P2P Export Control Programme for Dual-use Goods in Southeast Asia
- P81 BIOSEC Enhanced Biosecurity in South-East Asia
- P62 - On-site Technical Assistance to the EU CBRN CoE Regional Secretariat in South-East Asia
- In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, between May 2020 and July 2021, the CBRN CoE Regional Secretariat for Southeast Asia delivered a peer-to-peer webinar series to exchange knowledge and experience on the regional and global COVID-19 response, reaching over 1,000 participants
- In late 2022 and early 2023, CBRN CoE Project 62, with the support of the International Security and Emergency Management Institute (ISEMI), worked with Cambodian authorities to strengthen the country’s CBRN response capacity in advance of the 2023 Southeast Asian Games
- In March 2023, the CBRN CoE Regional Secretariat for Southeast Asia organised a 10-year anniversary event to celebrate 10-years since the Secretariat’s inauguration and to showcase the capacity-building achievements of Partner Countries in the region
